EQ and EQ2 launched new servers that allow players to start with the original world, original quests, etc - true "vanilla". LOTRO followed suit and apparently other "old" games will also be adding these progression servers.

Nah. It's a crowd-funded AAA game. People are just irritated about the endless ship sales being used to fund development. We really won't even know what their final "live" business model is until we see it.

Honestly star citizen has one of the most transparent game developments I have ever seen. I think people do not understand that the scope of the game takes a ton of money. And really it is nothing compared to what some people pay for phone games when you give people the options to buy ships now.
